About me

Hi! I’m a 22-year-old postgraduate computer science student at the University of Warwick in the UK. I am a former student of Hills Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge and am currently residing in Earlsdon, Coventry.

I split my leisure time between computing and music. My first computer was the IBM 5155, which was given to me through a friend of my Mums: apparently, the computer had started working again after he was taking it to the rubbish yard and had an accident that somehow resulted in him re-testing it and found it working again.

Today, I am a keen GNU/Linux user, and have been using Debian GNU/Linux since version 2.1, «Slink». My primary interest in computing nowadays is programming and system administration, but I am also interested in cryptography. My preferred text editor is Vim.

I am also a serious amateur cellist and am a member of many orchestral and chamber music ensembles. I have performed solo concerti and frequently perform in other concerts, including events in aid of charity. I was also a member of Pro Corda, the National School for Young Chamber Music, and I reached the finalist stage of the Rotary Club’s Young Musician of the Year competition in 2004. I am the secretary of my University’s Chamber Music Society and I enjoy listening and adding to my collection of classical music.
