Seattle International Film Festival 2026: Film #2
Needless to say, great acting. And feels eerily autobiographical, in a good way; you would easily believe that the director had those same shorts when they were 14 or whatever. Still, it wtruggles to justify its SA subplot given how exploitative it is and it's many implications (protagonist is lonely, seeking role models given unavoidable and avoidable parental absence, etc.) are already firmly established by that point.
